I have a difficult time tackling this type of descriptive writing. It is so easy to succumb to what I call transcendental sentiment. You set out to describe a flower and all of a sudden you're sobbing about double rainbows. But it looks like you're off to a good start. Just try to avoid all of that sparkling morning dew.
