The Hawk in the Garden

For ten minutes I watched a sharp-shinned hawk try to snatch songbirds from my garden. It was an awesome experience. Guest post with pics over at Wildlife Garden.

Beautiful photo of a fantastic experience. I get sharpies and Coopers flying through, sometimes catching birds and eating them, in my backyard, but I've never yet gotten one that lets me photograph it so nicely. Very nice.

RB--Beautifully vicious. It was frustrated it couldn't get a kill.
GG--If I washed my windows, it'd be an even better pic. I couldn't believe he just perched there for a few minutes! Not high off the ground at all.

There is something very beautiful and untamed about birds of prety.

Shyrlene--Did you like the post? Huh? :)
Scott--I think they are more tamed than most anything us. Just like chaos is very ordered.
