At the fountain

I'm revving up for the garden tour. Mulching paths, moving plants, filling in holes, soon to add steppers, patching lawn, ordering signs. Father's Day. 2011. Husky / ominous movie trailer voice.

The light through the pasque flower is stunning! I'm so envious of your back yard...it just keeps looking better and better.

Tawnysha--Thanks! It provides a lot of writerly inspiration; as in, when I can't write, I dig something util I flush out the words with sweat. Check out he garden in 2010: http://deepmiddle.blogspot.com/2010/07/happy-birthday-to-me-and-garden.html
Scott--Hey, you have nothing to be jealous about. But, come back in August and see heaven on earth. I am always amazed that somethin flat to the ground can grow, say, 6 or 12 feet in one year.

Benjamin,

You can definitely do it. Your garden is looking simply fabulous. I love the arbor and the stepping stones. Is that a fountain? So cool. Good luck on getting it all done. Don't kill yourself.~~Dee

Susan--They're so soft, like bunny tails! I do touch them. Nicely.
IF--It's growing so fast now, likely the 90 degree temps, which is what, 20 above normal?
Dee--Yep, that's a fountain! I haven't had it on yet because it's been so windy (what else is new on the Plains). I have to fill it up every 3 days if it stays windy, which is good for the robins.

I left my 'Prairiefire' crabapple at my last garden and am really missing it after your picture of one in bloom. Sniff, sniff.

Don't forget a table with treats for the tour...you may stave off a riot.

Christine in Alaska, no tour, no garden...yet

Christine--You shouldn't have moved. I'm mailing you crabaple petals. You may glue them to any tree you see fit to get the crabapple effect. Yer welcome.
